• Dex is back down to drinking around 7oz during each feed now, he still feeds five times a day including a feed at 10-11pm.
  • He goes to bed at 6.30pm and sometimes wakes up at 10ish for his feed. He sleeps through until 4.30 when he normally wakes and starts screeching. Then he will snooze on and off until 7.30am.
  • He has learnt how to screech, very loudly in a high pitched tone.
  • He went out in his baby carrier forward facing for the first time this week. He loved every minute of it.
  • He is starting to sit rather well unsupported on the floor. I stretch my legs out in a V shape and sit him in between so my legs can catch him if he falls sideways. He is using his hands more to steady himself.
  • He is giving cuddles and on Tuesday was grabbing my face and pulling it into his for kisses. I love it when he wraps his arms around my neck.
  • I had to put his activity centre up a level this week. I noticed he wasn’t standing in it effectively and realised he has gone from being too small for it, to needing it made bigger for him in the space of a few weeks.
  • He is wearing a lot of 6-9 months clothes with a mixture of 3-6. There’s still the odd few 0-3s that make an appearance!
  • No sign of any teeth yet!

  • Dex is eating between 7 and 9oz, five times a day- 7am, 11am, 3pm, 6.30pm and between 9pm-11pm at night.
  • He hasn’t started on any solid food yet.
  • He sleeps from 6.30pm until around 5.30am.
  • He is trying to learn how to roll his lips but it just ends up with dribble going everywhere!
  • He naps three or four times a day for 45 minutes – 1hr30.
  • He can now stand in his activity centre.
  • He weighs 17lbs 8oz and is 69cm long.
  • He wears a mixture of 0/3, 3/6 and 6/9 clothes. His trousers are mostly 6/9.
  • His favourite toys are his Nuby lion, Robby the robot and his Mickey Mouse comforter.
  • He loves sitting in his high chair watching Mummy cook and clean but isn’t that interested in food.
  • We had our first real taste of teething this week: he was grumpy and cried a lot but Dentinox teething gel and Ashton’s teething granules helped a lot.
  • He is just about still in size 3 nappies but will be going up to size 4 when this pack runs out.
  • He gave me his first hug this week when he woke up suddenly crying and I ran to comfort him.
  • He can sit unsupported on the floor for around 30 seconds.
  • He has learnt how to arch his back and use his feet to push himself backwards. He rotates and rolls freely in the cot.
  • We are still co sleeping and plan to continue for the foreseeable future.

    • he is drinking 7-8oz every four hours
    • he sleeps 6.30/7pm-6.30/7am every night but he has started waking up at 10 for a final feed.
    • he wakes occasionally at 3 or 4am for a feed
    • he naps four times a day. If he doesn’t get these naps we have screams at 6 o clock.
    • he likes to be left alone to fall asleep
    • he can sit unaided for about ten seconds using his hands to support himself
    • he can roll from back to front (in the cot) and from front to back (on the floor and in the cot)
    • he weighs 16lbs
    • he has had all of his injections.
    • he wears both 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes
    • he can do tummy time for as long as 20 minutes and does it three times a day
    • his favourite toys are his multicoloured soft ball, Robby the robot, Mickey Mouse plush blanket and good old muslin squares.

    • Dexter is taking 5-7oz every three hours during the day, sometime his last feed is at 7/8pm and sometimes it’s at midnight depending on how many bottles he has had through the day (we still feed on demand but he demands in three hourly ish)
    • Dexter sleeps through most nights, we had a small period two weeks ago of waking for a bottle but most nights when he stirs at 3 or 5am, placing a dummy in his mouth will do. This is where co-sleeping is a life saver because I wake before he even knows he is upset and I can reach over and soothe him without barely waking up myself.
    • He is doing about three tummy time sessions a day now and we have built them up to about ten minutes each. He enjoys it until he realises he wants to crawl somewhere and can’t and then gets frustrated and cries. He can roll over both ways but doesn’t do this everyday.
    • His favourite toys this week have been his activity centre, foil blanket and firefly. Yesterday we read the hungry caterpillar which he was really interested in and resulted in a very quiet and reflective period after
    • I haven’t had him weighed for a couple of weeks but stood on the scales with him yesterday and he looks to weigh around 16lbs
    • He still fits into some 0-3 vests, sleepsuits and tops but he is mainly wearing 3-6 month trousers
    • He loves sticking his fingers in his mouth, pulling muslins over his headwind holding hands
    • He naps three times a day at least for anywhere between 30 minutes and 2 hours. He tends to nap about an hour after each bottle

    • Dexter is now moving freely in his cot, he rolls onto his side and onto his front and he’s able to get from one end to the other, into our bed and turn himself 180 degrees by scooching.
    • I’ve had one real life giggle from him when I was changing him this week and singing but he hasn’t repeated it since.
    • He also rolled from front to back this week during tummy time. I put him on his tummy and when he pushed up with one hand I rolled him myself. I then put him back and lay down on the floor opposite him and he did it again three times but all by himself. Not managed to get him to do it again yet though! He has rolled back to front and front to back from his cot onto our bed, however gravity and the bouncy bed definitely facilitated in that so it doesn’t really count.
    • Dexter drinks 6oz five times a day- 7.30am, 11, 2, 5 and 8. We started skipping the midnight feed this week and he has slept through.
    • He goes to sleep at 8ish and sleeps through until 7. Although he has been known to lie in til gone 9 and last Sunday I had to wake him up!
    • He had his 12 week injections this week and was a superstar!
    • This week he visited Skipton and screamed the car down so bad we had to pull over. We thought he wanted feeding but when we got him out of his car seat he just wanted a laugh and a play 😂 after a few cuddles he went back in his car seat and off we went!
    • He loves his hands and they’re in his mouth constantly. He enjoys looking at them and reaching out to daddy.
    • His favourite toy is still his jangly zebra but he also likes his firefly and his white jangly bear. I got him a foil blanket this week but he’s not too sure on that yet

    • He is sleeping through the night every night now. He goes to bed between 7pm and 9pm. We feed him at midnight and he goes back down straight away until 7am. We are very very lucky.
    • He is mainly in 3-6 month clothes now as most of his 0-3 was getting too small. I still have them available but am just putting the ones which are ridiculously small away as and when.
    • He is smiling all the time but no laughs yet. I have heard him trying in his sleep though!
    • He has well and truly discovered his hands. I’ve seen him pick up a dummy (fluke though I reckon) and he grabbed hold of my duvet the other morning and pulled it towards his cot. He loves his dangling zebra toy (thank you@louiseketley) and will pull on it and feel it all day long when he’s on his rocker or on his playmat. He went from flapping at the toys to grabbing on the space of a week. Madness.
    • He is feeding every three hours and takes six ounces. He normally feeds at 7am, 10am, 1pm 4pm, 7pm and midnight.
    • Haven’t had him weighed for a couple of weeks but last time he was 13lbs.
    • He loves baths in the big bath with mummy and cuddles in the morning in the big bed.

    •  The smiles are coming thick and fast now  and I managed to capture a real social one on camera this morning!
    • He is now on 6oz bottles and he is starting to drain some of them so might be going up to 7oz by next week 🙈
    • He sleeps from 8/9/10pm until 4am each night (I really need to invest in a blackout blind to see if I can get him to sleep longer) and feeds at 7am, midday, 4pm, 6pm, 9pm and midnight. (Roughly) so I think with the help of a blackout blind we could potentially get a good six or seven hours sleep! When he wakes at 4 he just wants to play 🙈🙈 we are still co-sleeping and I let him take his daytime naps in bed with me while I watch TV or go on Instagram 📷 (mainly Instagram!!) he naps 8/9am – midday and again from 1 til 3 or 4pm
    •  We took our first solo trip out this week to the@intutraffordcentre and it went really well
    • He met his great grandma for the first time this week and had lots of cuddles from his Nanna, his uncle Billy, his grandma, grandad and grandad’s family from Kent 😍
    • He also slept in a travel cot for the first time and he slept from 11pm until 7am (darker room in grandmas house I’m sure!!!!)
    • I weighed him on my scales yesterday and looks to be around 13lbs.
